It was just another day. In a tiny satsang hall full of strangers, I was sitting quietly when someone took a seat next to me. We didn't talk. It was more than a second before we even exchanged glances. However, something changed within me.

Time seemed to slow down, and I said,

At the time, I didn't comprehend it. However, that one incident left me with a question, and years later, I discovered the answer: soul connection.

Soul connections are uncommon in this day and age, where everything is cluttered with likes, follows, and superficial friendships. Additionally, they don't scream when they occur. They murmur. 

 They don't make their appearance. Not at all. Deep but without the drama. 

 And it affects you so profoundly that no amount of reasoning can account for it.

 As a friend, teacher, stranger, or even a silent bystander, I have experienced this feeling numerous times and in various contexts. 

 I wish to share this fact with you today in the context of Dadaji Consciousness, which directs my heart, and Bapuji Dashrathbhai Patel's divine wisdom:

• You have encountered certain souls in previous lives, not in this one. And something in you recalls them when you see them again.

Let me explain the five telltale signals that you're going to meet someone like that. I'll share tidbits of my journey along the way. As a fellow seeker like you, not as a teacher.

1. You immediately feel at ease, as if you've returned home. 

Real soul connections are felt from the very first breath and don't take time to develop.

I will tell you the truth. I've smiled at numerous strangers and met folks. A soul connection, though? That's not the same.

I once met a woman while traveling by train. She was quiet, had gentle eyes, and was older than I. We didn't communicate much and exchanged food.

However, my heart felt secure. As though it would be acceptable for me to tell her anything or nothing at all.

It has nothing to do with attraction or love. It's more profound. As if you had walked for a lifetime and had arrived at a soul's resting place. 

 For some, it feels like home. Your spirit remembers them, not because of shared memories.

2. Despite the pain, they awaken something within you.

Some souls come to wake you up, not to stay.

 Not all soul connections are kind and charming. They break you sometimes.

 They cause injuries. They contradict your convictions. 

 They force you into situations where your former self is unable to function. 

 Nevertheless, you emerge lighter, stronger, and more like yourself. 

 I once had a crush on someone I would never be able to date. We got together during a spiritual retreat. She was brave, feisty, and vibrant—everything I wasn't. She challenged my anxieties, broke down my emotional barriers, and departed without saying goodbye.

 I was broken, but I was changed.

She left. She didn't have to, though. Something in me was unlocked by her soul. 

And I will always be thankful for that. 

  Not every soul connection is intended to endure. Some people merely show up to remind you of the truth you've forgotten.

3. Without speaking, you are able to understand one another.

Language is not necessary when two spirits remember one another. 

 Have you ever  sense someone's emotions without using words?

 A soul connection, that is. 

 Even if they grin, you can tell they're not feeling well just by looking at them.

 Just when they need it, you send them a message. They finish your sentences. On the same night, you have the same dream.
